I had the pleasure of photographing Samantha as a newborn, and I got the opportunity to photograph her again when she was close to 3 months. It is amazing to me how quickly babies grow!
This first one is one of my all-time favorites!

First off, let me apologize for the fact that I am like, well, over a year late in posting this. I had a few posts (you will see them all shortly) that had apparently been saved in the drafts section. Oops!
Anyway, Julie & Lacey had a Day After session, but Julie decided she had plenty of photos in her wedding dress and wanted photos in regular clothes. I guess it was like an engagement session in reverse order.
Oh, and guys, I will always remember your session for one reason in particular…I was about 6 weeks pregnant at the time and this session was the first time I dealt with morning sickness. I don’t think Julie & Lacey were aware (at least I hope they weren’t) of what was happening with me, but I was thankful that we did a few outfit changes. To the bushes at Sugar Mill Gardens, I apologize.
Here are my favorite images from their day. Really, they are such a sweet and wonderful couple. I wish you guys the best!
I would like to say that I am not normally a fan of sun flare and I think it can look cheesy at times. However, I love the way the above photo turned out. : )
Some of you may have noticed that my website has not been updated in a while. Well, the reason for that is I had a baby in the beginning of July! Due to pregnancy and the possibility of my husband going into the military, I was not booking weddings. I am back now though! Of course I am offering an August special: book your wedding (deposit paid) by August 31st and receive a free engagement session.
Holy moly am I a bad blogger!!! John and Molly were married in Winter Park on July 10, 2010. The ceremony was at All Saints Church and the reception was held at the Winter Park Farmers Market. The Winter Park Farmers Market is a fabulous reception location in my opinion because the space can be transformed to whatever look/style/feel you want. Music was provided by Zach Scott Productions and I was quite impressed with this DJ. This was the first time a DJ had actually asked me if the lighting was okay and told me I could let him know if I needed it adjusted. I really appreciated that! The beautiful flowers were provided by Peddles Wedding Flowers. Molly’s bouquet was gorgeous and the touch of feathers really added something special.
Now, on to the photo highlights of the day!

After the ceremony, we headed over to Kraft Azalea Gardens to do the “formal photos.” John & Molly were such a fun, easy-going, young couple and I really wanted to capture that in the formals. I think Molly’s Mom described the following photo perfectly as “informally formal.” Since it was the afternoon in July in Central Florida, it was quite hot, but everyone braved the heat for some awesome shots!

Now time for the reception! I love this candid shot between Molly and her mom. So sweet!

Thanks John and Molly for allowing me to be a part of your special day!
I feel like such a bad blogger as I just realized that I did not post Julie & Lacey’s wedding from 6.5.10. Their wedding was in Lake Wales and it was beautiful. It was extremely hot and rainy that day, so I think we were all thankful for a church wedding and an indoor reception. Have I mentioned how lately how much I love my job? I feel truly blessed to be a part of the wedding day. Here are a few of my favorites from the day.

The church where Julie & Lacey were married was quite sentimental for them. Julie’s parents had been married in this church and Julie has attended this church since she was a little girl.
I LOVE that colorful shoes are in style right now. It’s a lot of fun!

Samantha Joan was born on June 2nd and is an absolute sweetheart. She definitely wanted to be photographed fully clothed & she preferred to be on her tummy. Here are some of my favorites from the day.
Lucy, the family dog, reminded me a lot of my dog in that she wanted to be in the middle of the photos. How could I resist including her?!?

Oh how I love newborns!
This was a super special newborn session for me. (Okay, all sessions are super special, but this one was just a little extra special!) Sara & Kyle were my very first wedding & now I had the pleasure to photograph their newborn baby. : ) Nora was such a sweetie & a great model! She loved being on her tummy and was by far the “bendiest” baby I have ever photographed. Congrats Sara & Kyle!

I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful 8 day old newborn. : ) It was definitely quite the “explosive” session and for those of you who have experienced a newborn session, you know what I am talking about! I must say that I have not laughed that hard in a very long time. Princess Brooklynn is definitely a princess & diva in training. Here are some of my favorites from the day:

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Sarah & Patrick’s wedding last weekend. Their wedding was held at Leu Garden’s in Winter Park, FL. For those of you who haven’t been to Leu Garden’s, you are truly missing out. It is such a beautiful place & is the perfect setting for a garden wedding. Sarah & Patrick chose the lawn as their ceremony location, which was the perfect choice for a warm spring day.
Sarah and Patrick – I just want to say thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day. You are such a beautiful couple, inside and out, and your love for each other is simply undeniable.
I was unable to stick to my self-inflicted rule of only posting 5 images per post. There were just too many to choose from! Enjoy!

I just love the light in the one above. We could not have asked for a more beautiful day.
The girls had a wedding huddle before they left for the ceremony. ”Go wedding!”

This one was just too cute & funny not to include!
Meredith was a little unsure about whether she wanted to do a maternity session as she wasn’t feeling oh-so-pretty. (This is a pretty normal reaction to the idea of maternity photos.) However, her thought process was along the lines of “what if I don’t get the chance to do this again, whether it be because we only have one baby or we don’t have time to do it later.” This is a great mindset to have! If you’re unsure of whether or not you want to do the maternity session, just do it! If you don’t like the photos, at least you know you gave it a try. (Disclaimer – I have not had any client say that they are upset that they did the photos. Every client has been happy & is glad that they did the session.)
Meredith didn’t want to do any completely bare belly shots, which is just fine! Maternity sessions are all about what the mom-to-be wants and I am more than happy to oblige. She brought along a lot of great outfit choices which is fabulous! I was so happy that she brought some color because I love color. : ) She is a gorgeous woman & I believe that came across in the photos. Without further ado, here are some of my favorites from the day:
